André Leroux
Mr. Leroux has held the positions of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Noveko International and its subsidiary Noveko Inc. since their inception. He has been a director of Noveko International since January 2004. Moreover, he is a member of the Compensation Committee. Founder of the group, Mr. Leroux also served as President of Noveko International from 2004 to March 2008 and as President of Noveko Inc. from 2002 to January 2008. Prior to founding Noveko, Mr. Leroux served as President of Alliance Medical Inc. from 1999 to 2002. Before that, he held various senior positions at Acier Leroux Inc., including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1996 to 1999. Mr. Leroux also serves on various boards including the board of the Fondation de l’UQAM and of the Fondation de l’Hôpital Pierre-Boucher. He is additionally involved with a number of other charitable organizations. Mr. Leroux holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
Alain Bolduc
Mr. Bolduc has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Noveko International since March 2007, as a Director since April 2006, and as President, Bolduc Leroux Inc. since December 1999. He also held the position of President of Noveko Inc. from November 2008 to December 2009. Before that, he served as President of Netscape Canada from 1997 to 2001. Previously, Mr. Bolduc has been instrumental in introducing several American software companies into the Canadian market, including Logic Works, Inc. and KnowledgeWare, Inc. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Ernst & Young Canada.
Léon Assayag
Mr. Assayag has served as Director of Noveko International since January 2004 and is Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is also Chief Financial Officer of KUR Concepts Inc. since September 2009. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer of ACASS Canada Ltd. Mr. Assayag was also Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Noveko International from January 2004 to December 2006, as well as Chief Financial Officer of Noveko Inc. from December 2002 to December 2006. He has more than 24 years experience in business and financial management, corporate accounting and consulting services for various publicly and privately held corporations. Mr. Assayag holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University. He is a member of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec.
Patrice Emery
Mr. Emery has served as Director of Noveko International since December 2004. Since 2001, he has served as President of Noveko's subsidiary, S.A.S. E.C.M of France. From 1985 to 2003, he was President of S.A.S Echo Control. With more than 23 years of experience in the field, Mr. Emery is a pioneer of the animal ultrasound industry and the first to develop scanners to improve reproductive efficiency and livestock productivity. Among other accomplishments, he also designed, developed and commercialized the first battery-operated portable animal ultrasound scanner. Mr. Emery is the author of articles published in animal publications. He holds a Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS, France) in Agricultural Techniques and Business Management.
Jacques Girard
Mr. Jacques Girard has served as Director of Noveko International since December 2008. He is also Chairman of the Governance Committee and a member of the Compensation Committee. He has held the position of Chairman of the Board of the International Financial Centre of Montréal (IFC Montréal) since 1997 and currently serves as Acting President and Chief Executive Officer. He is also an Executive Coach with CDC Coaching. Throughout his career, Mr. Girard has held senior educational, communications and economic development, and media positions in both the public and private sectors. From 1988 to 1996, he served in a number of senior executive roles at Quebecor Group Inc., including President from 1999. Prior to joining Quebecor, he was President of Télé-Québec from 1983 to 1988. From 1974 to 1983, he served as Assistant Deputy Minister and then Deputy Minister of Education for Quebec. Mr. Girard has served on numerous boards of directors, including Chairman of the Board of Domtar Inc. from 1996 to 2004. Mr. Girard holds a law degree from the University of Montreal and a Masters in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is an officer of the French National Order of Merit.
Pierre Marc Johnson
Mr. Johnson has served as a Director of Noveko International since June 2008. He is also a member of the Governance Committee. Since 1996, he has been of Counsel with the offices of Heenan Blaikie LLP, Attorneys. He advises, mediates and negotiates for, or with, various governments, United Nations related organizations and other international institutions. He also serves on boards of directors, including ACE Aviation Holdings Inc., Air Canada, Holcim (Canada) Inc., the Veolia Institute for the Environment (Paris), as well as the Quartier de la Santé de Montréal (Montreal’s Health District). Mr. Johnson is a former Premier of Quebec. He is a lawyer and a physician by training. He received a Bachelor in Political Science and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Montreal, and an MD diploma from the University of Sherbrooke. He has an Honorary Doctorate from the Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, France, and is a member of the Quebec Bar, the Canadian Bar Association and a retired member of the Collège des médecins du Québec. Mr. Johnson is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, a Grand Officier de l’Ordre national du Québec and a Grand Croix de l’Ordre de la Pléiade.
Moïse Moghrabi
Mr. Moghrabi has served as a Director of Noveko International since November 1997. He is also Chairman of the Compensation Committee and member of the Audit Committee. Since 1988, he is a partner of the law firm Moghrabi & Moghrabi practicing corporate and commercial litigation. Mr. Moghrabi has extensive experience in the organization and management of both public and private companies. Over the last five years, he has served as director and member of the audit committees of several TSX Venture Exchange listed companies including Capital Pro-Egaux Inc., Rutel Networks Corporation, Pro-Veinor Resources Inc. (now Affinor Resources Inc.) and Arca Explorations Inc. (now Uranium Bay Resources Inc.). Mr. Moghrabi holds a Bachelor in Law from the University of Montreal and is member of the Quebec Bar, the Lord Reading Law Society and the Canadian-Lebanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Jean-Guy Parent
Mr. Parent has served as a Director of Noveko International since January 2004. He is Vice-Chairman of the Board since May 2009 and is also a member of the Audit and Governance Committees. Since January 1990, he has served as a senior partner of Intercom Services Immobiliers. Mr. Parent has extensive public sector experience serving as a Deputy in the National Assembly of Quebec from 1985 to 1989 and as Minister of Foreign Trade in the Government of Quebec in 1985. Prior to this, he served as Mayor for the City of Boucherville from 1978 to 1985. Mr. Parent serves on a number of foundation boards and is Governor of the Fondation de l’Hôpital Pierre-Boucher, the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Longueil Symphony Orchestra, and Governor of UNICEF for the Montérégie region.
